Default Hi from newmember in Sweden

My replica experience started about a week ago when i bought a $60 Rolex Seadweller when on vacation in Side Turkey. The dealer did warn me not to swim with it - but i did and that's all she wrote for that replica. Since yesterday i have been browsing replica sites looking for a new one when i found this site and thank god i did, i almost bought a $600 Swiss made replica from swissreplicastore.com and i also fell for the AAA+ crap on www.replicaexpert.us.

I do have a question for the replica experts and gurus on this forum and i would be very grateful for a straight answer. Are there any waterproof replicas out there (10 meters would suffice) and if so where can i buy one?

    Välkommen broder!

I would never dive with a 'out-of-the-box' rep, but you can always contact Domenico or any other modders at this forum and they will upgrade your rep with a good enough protection.

Have fun, you will find that this forum is very addictive

    Välkommen!

There are some watches that are better then others for waterproofing, but they al seem to need some waterproofing, search around a little.

Kul att det finns fler Svenskar här på forumet .

Thanks for the welcoming, i have been browsing a lot of interesting threads and i am thinking of buying a new movement for my broken SD (i'm starting to learn the clock lingo ) and see if i can get it working again and maybe even make it waterproof. Could be a lot of fun as a hobby project over the next few months. So my clock wishlist now is:

    - repair and if possible waterproof my Rolex Seadweller
    - get a good Rolex Submariner replica
    - get a good Omega Seamaster with chronometer replica

    Välkommen!

My advice is to look around a little bit here before spending too much money on fixing a cheap rep. The risk is that you will start to be annoyed by the flaws that probably exist on your watch (considering the low price), and still want to change pretty quickly. At least that's how it worked for me, I started out with a pretty cheap Omega rep that I bought from a trusted dealer here, but I would never wear it today because my tolerance for flaws has decreased dramatically.

So the advice is to browse and get to know the good reps, and invest some more money into one of those instead, because I think you will still want to upgrade within a couple of months if you stick around here. That's the effect it had on me.

    Lycka till!

You are right, it's easy to be carried away. I will browse for a while so i at least can spot a good replica from a bad one. On my water damaged rep i think the HE valve is where the water came in.

Hello & Welcome! Bummer about the leak!!! but at least it was a cheapie!!! A few folks here waterproof (BK if I'm not mistaken) but for the most part, the advice tends to be "if you didn't grease it, don't trust it" I am planning on a tear down, sealing the HEV, and greasing of my DSSD before I try to get it in anything more than a sink splash! could be a great opportunity you have to learn!! Good luck! Jim
