Default Hey guys I'm brand new and I need help!!!

I've been reading up on the forums for the past couple of days and I've come to the conclusion that I want a Submariner 16610 Blue Dial Two-Tone with Swiss ETA 2836 movement.

I'm about to put in my order but I want to make sure I'm doing it right and buying from the right place. The site that I found who offers the watch I want is here: http://www.noobwatch.com/noob-factor...ue-dial-watch/.

    Few questions though...
    - Is this site legit?
    - Is this the best site (cheapest) to go through?
    - Is $458 a good deal?

If not, please let me know because as I said, I'm brand new to this and I'm excited to get my new watch!! Any input is GREATLY appreciated! Thanks.

Default Hey guys I'm brand new and I need help!!!

I have not heard of that site.
Stick to the TDs that are listed in the TD section.
Oh! And welcome aboard. Hope you stay a while :-)

Hi and welcome. In short: 1. stick to the trusted dealers listed on rg only and follow their links, take a mixed look at 3 or 4 and choose one 2. do not buy swiss, You will not get swiss or will get a refurbished one, buy undecorated Asian ETA those are new when mounted and function the same 3. the two-tone is the most beautiful to look at, but itīs not on the wrist, the best choice really would be to buy black and to do more research, look at more pictures and read more about the versions out there before committing the money; good luck and have fun; for only $100 more You get the best 16610 sub there is, others should be $100 less.

He's not looking for a 16610 but a 16613. And getting a good 16613 (which is WM9) is going to be way more expensive than the TC Sub you're talking about.

I think this is spam, there have been several new users over the past few days who have been posting links to this phoney noobwatch site.

Seems like self promotion by NON TD.

First of all I PROMISE I'm not spam lol. I really just want to get a good watch from a reputable dealer.

The dealer Pure Time looked promising but they are under investigation supposedly according to puretime.co. I am looking for a 16610 but after researching further, the 16613 looks really good too so I'd take either one.

I simply just wanted to know if anyone had a suggestion based upon the dealers in the Collector's Section -- which I suppose is the trusted dealer section, right?

pure-time.com is the current site. He would be a fine choice for a TD.

Hi, if itīs the first Rolex buy to try it out, Narikaa carries a well priced entry level ceramic sub. Intime and Toro have additional choices.

Are these decent watches with a good type of movement?

It does say "entry level", meaning just good enough to test the waters (not literally, of course). In this hobby, you get what you pay for. If you really like the design, save up and buy the better version.

Hi there and welcome, I'd stick to our vetted TD's found here and not other sites:

    http://www.repgeek.com/forumdisplay.php?f=22

They all have their own section with reviews so pick the one you feel most comfortable with
