Default Hey Fellow Geeks ... Greetings from Germany

    Hey There,
Just wanted to say hello to yall. Got attracted to watches in general some time ago (never actually worried about wearing any watch in my "past", knowing the time +/- was enough ;-)). Started with some seiko mods i got from the States. Got me some nice original vintage "no name" watches from the 60-80s era.
Just to name a few out of my coll. so You could assume where the journey goes:
    -Chronotac Seamatic
    -Seiko skx007 Apocalypse Now mod
    -Seiko5 Fathoms mod
    -Dagaz Cav1 Date
-Obris Morgan Pradata Black (sold that one...but missing it big time
    -...

Then stumbled across a "scam" replica site and there it got me. Just theoretically of course...hope to start practically soon...after choosing my first prey: explorer II or deepsea or sub or iwc top gun or or or...gotta cool down NOW

hope to get to know some guys from my area too so we could maybe even meet up in real life? Like a Stammtisch sort of thing???(rhein-main area...)

    cheers

Here's the GTG forum section: http://www.repgeek.com/forumdisplay.php?f=105

In case you're planning to trade watches on the forum, i can also recommend reading daytonadragon's award-winning guide, which he linked above.

    Ha...

Anyway, OP, welcome aboard. I found the forum after being ripped off by a scamsite, but soon became completely obsessed with the incredible watches from the TDs here. I suspect that you will be too.

    Again, welcome.

Noob DSSD is currently the best DSSD available, so i'd probably go for it if i'd be on a hunt for DSSD.

    Good luck.
