    Default An Undecided Forum

this would be a place where a person could be a newbie or a veteran is debating beetwen a few models in wich himself has done an exaustive research and is ready to pull the trigger, so that other members can come in and discuss the models , the good the bad and maybe other options or mods about said models ..

    thanks
    sebastian

PS this might be brilliant or inmensely idiotic still undecided

I don't quite get your point. Are you saying people don't do research or that there's no discussion?

    Default undecided thread confusion

No i am not suggesting that people dont do research ,
what i am saying that people like me that do the research and are still thorn between 2 or 3 different models and sometimes need that push from other members that do own said models , they tend tohave a better insight that someone who does not own them,

I'm still confused about what you are asking, so help me out here.

Let's say you did some research and have a short list for sub PAMs. Are you saying you only want opinions from people that have (or had) the specific models you are interested in?

I'd rather listen to members that have enough experience/expertise to spot issues from photographs then from members that listened to certain hype and bought a model they know nothing about. This way I'd have input about the thickness of the caseback, dial lettering/color, DW/cyclops accuracy, correct markings, etc. instead "because it's so cool".

I think he is suggesting the creation of a new thread base for people wanting opinions before pulling the trigger.
I suggest you start a new thread under the brand you want or under general watch discussion. Simply state the models you are thinking about and ask for input. No need for a new forum section.

people normally post two-to-four watches they are torn between and have people tell them why they should buy which one.

I don't think you need a forum for that. We do this all the time.

Like you said, start a thread with "Opinion needed: blah blah blah" in the section that's related to.

I don't think anyone said that here. What we are saying this is a normal practice in the forum that doesn't require a special area.

The idea of soliciting input to help with your purchase decision is a good one which is why it's widely practiced.

I do it all the time and including using PM to a few expert members to guide me as well.

I am darkness. Look into my eyes.

Not an idiotic thread seb, just one that you jumped into a little too quick.
As stated, an undecided thread would essentially duplicate what is done (and often) in the individual brand forums.

Don't be discouraged from posting. It's what gives us all a reason to visit here constantly. Enjoy the new hobby!

Personally I think a Noob would get more confused following the advice of some of the "Experts"
Between all the V1 V2 etc
V1 has better dial but V2 has better CG but V3 has better colour case V4 has longer hands but dial print is off V5 is best but V1 still has better dial.
Then I have been told by my personal dealer that a new V6 is coming out in the near future from the V1 Hublot makers

Thats an exaggeration but is typical of the "Expert" replies Noobs receive to "What is the best" threads.

It makes one wonder if the person is buying the watch because they like it or if they are buying it to please everyone else.

Best advice is look at the Gen and if you can't yourself see obvious flaws you are good to go.
Once you get wrapped up in all the 1-1 nonesense you are doomed and the fun of buying a copy watch has turned into frustration at not being able to to get an exact copy
If you are not buying from us you are paying too much!!! Like for like we are the cheapest on the net

I think the question from the OP is: I have narrowed down to 3 watches that I like. What should I know about them to make an informed decision?

While I agree too much detail will be distracting it's important to know some of the defects the dealer's pictures won't tell. If the buyer is OK with them then they will go ahead with an informed decision.
