Hello from Future Addict

Hello everyone,

I originally found this forum while searching for information on a Tag Heuer Carrera after watching the movie "Crank" in which the main character Chev Chelios wore a nice Carrera Automatic Chronograph Tachymetre. (Note: Clicking "Cached" in Google allowed me to read a review and some posts without joining.) Prior to this, I really had no idea there were such accurate reps out there.

After I read the review and a partial page of responses, I decided to join to see what else I could learn. I've been hooked ever since. The reviews are wonderful, the posts are insightful, and the comradery is amazing.

Funny though, my first "nice watch" purchase after joining the forum ended up being a gen Omega SMP instead of a rep. (Link Here) I haven't purchased a rep yet, but I've been reading, learning, and almost pulling the trigger a few times. I'm sure I'll be a future addict.

Welcome to the forum. Yes, this hobby can be quite addicting and exspensive. Make sure before you buy you actually want the watch, be selective and do your research before buying and you will be ahead of the game.

Nice intro and ... let me just say ... at least you know what you're getting into! I had no idea how addictive this was gonna be until well there's no more hope!

Welcome, yes this is truely an addicting and some what pricey hobby at times....you'll always remember your first rep purchase though...Appears you like Omega's I would suggest looking into a UPO ("Ultimate" Planet Ocean)....and take a look at the Brietling Avenger Skyland two great reps imo...
