The dealer has requested Registered mail USPS, but the post office says that doesnt exist anymore and it is $57 to ship it Priority. I thought I shipped a watch back for 28 a couple of months ago, but dont remember the method. Any help appreciated.

Interested to hear some feedback on this aswell as I was about to make a trip to the post office to do the same myself...
Registered doesn't exist anymore ? Yes because they've probably changed the name
Tell them you want to send it regular First Class and want the receiving party to sign for it
fWiW DO NOT use plastic products of any kind to wrap it up.
so many watches, so little time ... even less money !
Post office still had registered mail by me and postage was only about $25. (CONUS)
I sent the watch back in the same exact packaging I received it in. Im hoping that doesn't pose much of an issue, although now I'm worried as I used bubble wrap and a plastic bag to better wrap in the box this was actually how I received it from the TD so lets hope it makes it.
