BK Noob Sub-C V9 904L

Just arrived. I have 5 BK watches and he generously offered to source and mod the V9 for me. I believe this is number 1 of the BK modded V9's as he just started offering these after modding mine. This is waterproofed to 10M, clark crystal and the rest of his mods. Watch is beautiful. The 904L steel on this rep is super bright. Side by side with my Gen, its super hard to tell the difference. That looks a terrific piece. Unfortunately I placed an order for a V7 sub no date already, or I may have gone for this.

Super pleased buddy! I mean, hands down, versus the v7, there’s no comparison. I know some people on this board are skeptical of the 904L steel being authentic or if it’s a marketing ploy by the TD’s, but I do own a gen version of this Sub and the steel is brighter, more smooth and just screams Gen. A BK V9 sub is the closest to Gen Submariner, period.

Also, as an aside, if you do enough business with Bert aka BK, he’ll happily source & mod any watch out there practically. He does his own QC and has his own connections to each factory. His watches truly are amazing. And this watch’s movement is so buttery smooth, I haven’t lost or gained a second since receiving it.

Just a heads up, I’m not sure if this is still his policy, but I believe he requires you to have at least 1 positive feedback/transaction before he’ll do business with you. I will contact him and see what’s what. If he’s ok with it, I’ll PM you his email. But be aware, the dude is super busy and has a ridiculous backlog of orders. Just an FYI. Getting a watch from BK is definitely an exercise in patience, but his work speaks for itself.

How does the stock crystal compare to gen? Black hole effect?

I had a Clark Crystal installed as they have an even lower profile then the gen xtal (personal preference) and they make the dial POP!
