Default I'm being told an amplitude of 338 it is okay because watch was fully wound

Noob here, looking for some advice.

I received QC on a VSF Omega 300m Diver (A2824 movement, ) and the timegrapher results looked great (+4 s/d, beat error 0.0) except for the amplitude of 338 degrees (laying flat, dial up). I asked about the amplitude and the response was that 338 was okay since the watch was fully wound and if I use the watch on a daily basis the amplitude will be around 280. From my beginner's understanding of amplitude, the watch should be in the approx 250-315 range. 338 seems quite high and so I'm worried about damage / longevity of the movement. Is there any situation where 338 is acceptable? Is there truth to amplitude being higher due to the watch being fully wound? Your experienced opinion is appreciated.

    Thanks

    For Amplitude.

Between 270 to 310 Amp is considered Great.
Between 250 to 270 Amp is what I would consider acceptable.

338 is not normal, even in a wound watch, IMO, but then again, I am newbie and could be mistaken
