Its been just on 8 months now....

But I haven't introduced myself:

I've been crazy about watches ever since i can remember. My passions are Hifi equipment, wine, music, sport and watches. From the time I started working (20+ yrs ago) I'd save for either a watch, some music or hifi gear. My wallet gets very sore from what I like to collect.

I stumbled across reps a few years back. I'd always grabbed a few when on holidays to Bali etc.. but they usually fell apart so i decided to buy a "swiss" from Trendstime. The watch they sent me stopped at 11pm every night. So they replaced it - but with the wrong model. So at $590 or whatever it was I was a bit annoyed but the replacement watch at least worked (I think one of the models is a 088 - dunno - they are both GMT and in the photos). After 2 plus years I dropped the thing and took a bit chip out of it.

So at this point (last year) i was searching for a replacement. Found sites like "best Swiss" and not knowing too much, almost picked up a watch from them at $800..... I decided to check whirpool (a site in Australia that seems to have its finger on the pulse for not being ripped off). They suggested RG and I've been here since and love the place.

I'm mostly a PAM fan but also really like the 2006 Cousteau, UPO, B&R, Graham and Lumtec. My first watch on my return to reps was actually the WM9 Sub which i love but it just a touch too small after wearing PAMs. But its a good watch for the office. Then the rest of my 20 watches take turns at being my Friday and weekend watch :-) ... I've collected about 20 watches since joining... (ouch says the wallet)

Just want to say that RG really is a great place. Almost every transaction I've had has been with great people. I have made some newbie mistakes at first (thinking the PAM 183 was an auto and thinking it was DAO - the dealer lost his patience with me and I guess righly so...) But aside from the shakey start, have met some really good people.

I don't know much about watches except that I like them.. I appreciate the advice that people here give so freely.
