Name was changed guys, but same old me!

Nope, no need to get too excited. It's the same Marty, just admin was kind enough to allow this "name change".

Had been thinking that LandM42006 was just too lame, taking the easy way out. And nothing else I have did or callsigns I had in the past was neat enough to use as a moniker.

A few years back, the wife and I became rabid "The Shield" fans. I loved that show. And duering the first season, as the audience was getting to know the characters, one of the team members was this cop with a heavy southern accent, working in LA. In one show, the cop rear ends the vehicle of the suspect he is tailing. The suspect askes the officer his name, and the best he could come up with was "Cleetus, Cleetus Van Damme".

And that is basically how I felt the entire time I was stationed up at DC. But my wife really got a kick out of that scene, and calles me Cleetus from time to time. Heck, my XBox log in is Kleetus, so why not here. It is more manyly that Martymuffin and more creative than LandM42006.

That's my story, and I am sticking to it. Now I want to find a new pic to go in the avatar. You guys been looking at the wife and I for too long. Gotta figure someting out.

Matt, it's really an alias. Being your neighbor, I know too much. So I had to go into hiding.

Shows how much goes into the relocation budget. Same house, car, job and adress, but the name got changed. Go figure.

Very well. To keep continuity in this forum, I will revert back to LandM should I get more complaits / requests regerding my moniker.

But I shall always be known as Marty. Hmmm, wonder if that one has been taken yet on this forum. That would make things nice and simple.

Korky, that is a cool screen name. Wont ask where it came or is based off of, but cool none the less.

My real last name is Martin. But the entire 20 years I spent in the USMC, protocol calls for the use of a last name. But all my teammates called me Marty, rather than Martin. And that was how I have been know in the military community, not as Martin, but as Marty.

So since this forum is my new "band of brothers", I would like it if I could be referred to as Marty.

Anubis, if you can make this happen, I will have no further requests for name changes. And thank you for your patience.
