    Default New From Texas

    Hello All

I have been reading and researching for about a month and ready to buy. I am very glad I found RG, I would have gotten taken, i'm sure, if I had not found you'll. I have relativly small wrist and would like everyones opinion on what should be my first rep. I know I don't want my first to be a sub or any version of the Rolex. I am leaning to a Tag. I am looking in the 100-200 USD range and any thoughts would be great. Thanks for all the info I have already gotten from reading the post.

Just go to any of the dealers areas and look at the watches between $100-$200. Some have websites. OH, and there was a "<$125" thread around somewhere. Just shove "125" into the search and it should be on the top. As for the Tag, the Link Chrono I own was >$200 so I can't help you out there, sorry

    Good luck

I feel your pain about the small wrists. My first rep was a midsize datejust. (Here's a link to the same watch) http://www.pc-80108.com/rdjms10001-s...712-p-204.html
The middy looks good on smaller wrists. I have since quit worrying about the "correct" size for my wrist and just get what is cool. I have an Omega Railmaster, Breitling Sea Wolf, a Daytona and have a "Super" Sea Dweller on my need list. (Need, want, what's the difference.) Welcome to the best rep forum on the net.

I agree. Don't worry so much about wrist size. Just pick a watch that you like. If you like TAG's.. the Aquaracer with black dial is awesome.

Welcome and enjoy the ride! Might I suggest that you push your budget out a bit and purchase a classic Breitling like a Navitimer. They do such a good job with those and they're not as unweildly (large) as the Steelfish or Bently lines. A real modern wrist instrument with authentic aviation roots. Put a quality aftermarket black calf with white stitching strap on it and you'll wear it with admiration for years to come. Just my 02.

Thanks for all the input, I don't mind pushing the budget up. Just my nature to be careful, I'm still new! I feel sure once I get the first Rep. all worries will fade.

Bar no expense IF you're from Where The West Begins since 100-200$ barely gits ya 2-3 lap dances in Dullest or Yooston area.
If ur farther west of those 2 "cosmopolitan" then do wet ur lips with an all stainless steel DateJust or white faced Explorer 2, a bit conservative but perfect for those that do know the ass end of a mule or a yellow dog democrat. It all plays well.

Glad to Meet shart! Oak from Fort Worth, from where the west begins.

    Tag??? lol

    Welcome shart,
Lots of good avice so far, all I can add is to forget brand names and just go for a watch that you like rather than one that you think others will be impressed with.
Also, don't worry about the first one too much, you'll have an entire collection before you know it anyway.
