Hey All. Newbie in need of help with first purchase.

Having a bit of hard time making my first rep purchase. Hope someone here can help. After reading through several threads here I was ready to purchase a Daytona, but had a real hard time finding the list of dealers (collectors?) Tried to purchase from two of them that have excellent reputation on this site, but for some reason their sites keep declining my credit cards eventhough I followed the dealer's suggestions to make it work. Then while looking at other dealer's sites (all with great reviews on this site) to make my purchase, I see a Daytona with a Swiss ETA. I asked the first dealer if he has any of those and he replies that there are no rep Daytonas with Swiss ETA, and the dealers selling them are scammers. So now I don't know who to trust to make a purchase. The one dealer I do trust can't process any of my cards. But the dealers that advertise the better watches may be scammers, or not. Any advice with this would be greatly appreciated!

There are no replica daytonas with swiss ETA movements out of a dealer, you might be able to mod the movement but nobody does that. What you'll get is the same (or worst) watch than the trusted dealer here will get you at a premium price. The seller you saw is a scammer.
Stick to the trusted dealers (yes collectors section on the forums) and you're safe.

Thanks for the info Realreplica. However, my dilemma is that all the dealer's I spoke of selling the Swiss ETA Daytonas ARE the trusted dealers from the forums here on RepGeek and RWG. They are selling the watch for roughly $960.00 US and it appears to be the same model on each of these sites. Although one dealer's site had serveral models of Daytonas with "Swiss", "Original-Swiss" or "Original-Swiss 7750" ETA. I don't have to have a Daytona with "Swiss" ETA, but this raises the question; if they are selling a watch that doesn't exist, can they be trusted to buy from at all?

I've read in other topics about perfect-clones, but I can't seem to find him/her at the trusted dealers or an website, can anyone give me that? I would like to see what he is offering!
