Default SOLD folder in the Rep Watch Trade section

Is there anyway to add a subfolder/category in the Rep Watch Trade section that is just for SOLD/CLOSED threads? Once a watch is sold and the admin marks the thread as [SOLD][CLOSED], he/she can then move that closed thread into the SOLD/CLOSED subfolder for later access and viewing.

It would make it a lot easier to sift through what's still for sale without having it all mixed in with the other [SOLD][CLOSED] threads.

    Just my 2 cents.

I'm not sure how hard it is to program this but it would certainly help clean the clutter while keeping the necessary history of the transaction.

    Good suggestion.

It wouldn't be that hard. The script used to Mark the Subject "Closed" and actually close it could be modified to move it to a different "Closed" forum as well.

Which does depend somewhat on people actually closing their threads when the watch is sold (which people are terrible at doing by the looks of it!)

I think this is a great idea too. Seller marks the thread closed and it automaticly moves to the closed sale section. Number one make it so.....

There is one way that I've seen it operated which worked quite well at ensuring people remembered to keep their threads updated, and that was to limit the number of open threads any one user could have at any given time.

The forum in question set the limit at two and, until they had completed and closed one of them, they couldn't open another.

This ensured those selling kept their threads up to date (to a certain extent) and also allowed for an element of control over those who wanted to flood the board with sales and run with the money once paid without completing on their side of the deal.

Not saying it would work here necessarily, but another idea for the melting pot none the less.

Its easy to move the threads to a a new subforum once marked closed but we can not force people to close their own threads. Yes limits could be imposed to allowed x number of threads but we already have a 3 sale liimit per 30 days so that is limit enough.

Thank you for the suggestion and I think this is something we can roll with so only open threads are left in the sales section.
