Talking Joined to research on one watch - now hooked even before I started

    Hi everyone!

    Great forum you have here.
I just joined to do some research on one rep that I had in mind, but seeing all the reviews and discussion already got me hook even before my first purchase.

I was originally looking at the DateJust II but now, my WTB list doesn't even include that anymore hahahaha.

my WTB list now are the following:

Ebel 1911 Panda - already inquiring on this one. This will be my first purchase (threading the water -dealer, etc) for the sheer beauty and accuracy of the rep.

TT Navitimer Black - It is really beautiful but the discussions on fading is a bit scarry. Also already have 41mm watches and this (a 42mm) might not add variety. Then again, the lack of bezel makes it look big.

something Big like a Legende or a Bentley 6.75 - I like the not-too-sporty look of the Legende, but the 6.75 looks like a stunner (it might be too big though ... and more expensive then Legende ). I need to research more on this. Steelfish looks too sporty for me.

The Riviera looks really beautiful too but since I am already getting an Ebel Panda, still have to think about this

haha that's what happened to me...

i thought i was just going to get a panerai... now have 5 different watches. *sigh*

    btw, welcome to RG

the ebel 1911 is one of the best out of the box rep.... if you love that watch, you can put in an eta 7750 and call it a day

and the bentley 6.75's look great with AR from cheif and vac lume... (also an eta 7750 would make it awesome)

but then they get expensive :/

Hi Astro! I've been seeing your name a lot on the posts.
You are right about the 6.75 getting really expensive with those mods but let's just see how things go in the future

One thing i notice though is the lack of review for the Legende - the design is very classic and cool at the same time. Damn! i think this will be a really addicting hobby hahahaha

hey man same here.. in fact when i started i wanted a tag heuer rep.. my story started as wanting to buy from a scam site.. but luckily at the time i didnt have credit card.. so i searched for a dealer that accepted paypal and founded wat is now known as rwg1.. then i found out that at the time there was no good reps of a tag.. so i ended up buying a yachtmaster... then from then i read by-tor's review of the SOSF and so on and so on and now im addicted to watches.. its something that i love..

and i could never forget the day where i was introduced to rep.. you'll enjoy it very much.. unfortunately these days my finance don't support this hobby anymore.. now im just waiting for a perfect pre-v case and i think that would be it for me for a while but welcome to the hobby
WANTED PLEASE HELP.. BEEN LOOKING FOR NEARLY A YEAR FOR THIS:

    - OLD EDDIE LEE 005 panerai 44mm case (pre-2005) or EDDIE LEE panerai 44mm case with no lug dimples

    - or any other pre-v shaped 44mm case with fat lugs

Darn, now I'm starting to get scared hehehehe.
Let me purchase a few reps first and see if I get as hooked as most of you guys - If I am, then I'll consider the VIP

Any opinion about using Western Union? Am hesitant to use credit card but the WU which is nearest my current place is already closed around the time I get home from work. I would have to see on the next few days if I can go home a bit early to make my first order yipee!

    Welcome to RG!

I kinda started here the same way- looking for a rep of the Planet Ocean and the Steelfish. I've got around 20 watches right now

Western Union to our approved dealers is a fine way to pay and I have never heard of any issues with that method of payment.

Just make sure you do a good bit of research regarding which dealer you want to make your purchase from. All have different styles of watches, differing policies, prices and procedures etc.

Pick your dealer THEN pick your watch!
