    Default Bye Bye Canal Street

    Hi!
My name is Ron and I'm from New York. Up until now I thought that the only place to buy a rep was on Canal St. For those of you not from NY- that's Chinatown. You can pick up a rep there for cheap, but that's what they are-CHEAP. They don't last. I've been around this forum for a week and I can't believe the choices that are available! I don't think that I'll be visiting Canal St. anymore !
My watch passion at the moment is for Bell & Ross watches . I have two reps right now but I won't be satisfied till I get a gen. One of them is a month old and already something's loose inside. Being that I've never fixed one, maybe someone can tell me how to go about fixing one on the cheap.
I also sell straps for the 01's and 03's but I'll leave that for a different time.
Looking forward to spending time with you guys,
    rr

Hi Ron and welcome! Seeing as you are a B&R man - do you know the size of the BR01 crystal?

    Hey Leroy,
I'm guessing that you're asking about the 92, being that you have one. Both of mine are 40mm in diameter.
I didn't notice all the other replies. Thanks for all the welcomes. My, you guys are fast!

Welcome to the forums (in public now) Ron!
You should try and post some photos (of the movement) of the watch you're having problems with on the watch repair forums.
There's plenty of help around the forums so I'm sure someone will jump in to help you out.

    Enjoy!

Welcome to RG Ron! You'll have to post some pics of your B&R's! I recently bought a BR02 as a "stopgap" watch to tide me between purchases, and the thing has really grown on me. Would love to see those straps too!

I'll try to post some pics on the Straps forum. I'm presuming that'd be the right place for them. I've been getting a real h**d on for the 02 lately also. That thing is really starting to catch on!!!

Well if you're still interested I just posted in the Straps forum a couple pictures of one of my watches with the strap I've been using. Check it out! I think you'll enjoy

    Hi Again!

Here's some pics of my other 01-92. This one is ss with the white dial.
I have a dark brown oiled leather strap on it with a contrast stitch detail. This is another one of those straps that I sell.
    Here's a full shot

    Wrist shot

    Buckle detail

    My watch

This strap is top grain cowhide that's been oiled. These things really show patina after time and they're super comfortable from day one.
If anyone's interested in this one, or maybe a black one like it, you can pm me here at the forum. I'll try get back to you quickly.
