"Backdoor" Sales Threads
Ive noticed an increasing number of threads started by individuals who dont meet the requirements to sell on RG, basically saying they want to sell their watch but dont have enough posts yet. My idea would be that when someone is found to be doing this, their PM capabilities are locked to prevent possible scamming of other members and to show these "lurkers" that they cant bypass the trade rules on Repgeek
If ya see someone doing it hit the report post button and the staff will delete the post and dispatch a nastygram

Thats what I have been doing and it seems to work well. The mods are quick to "fix" it...
Agreed... We all had to pass through fire to get these priviliges... We all need to contribute before starting to sell.. This is not a dumping ground..
Related trend is noobs spam reply to every thread with the same/meaningless comment to inflate post count. :eyeroll:
At least its more difficult than the "GLWS" post on a sales thread...
I saw Nembo nuke a guys count back down to 20 on the Breit section because he was inflating posts.
One dude had 83 "Nice" posts in 2 days. He hit 100 and was instantly dropped back to 1

Overall I think the mods do a nice job. Its hard to remember they don't get paid for their service...

If you guys knew 1/2 of the headaches, drama, agita and nonsense we have to deal with you'd have us committed. Nobody in their right mind does what we do for free
That being said the forum has been moving forward in a very positive fashion and we've had a great bunch of newer guys come in over the past couple months. We're always going to have the occasional asshat in the group but with your help we'll keep this place on track

Give ya an example- right now we're dealing with a dude who is trying to backdoor sell 100's of EL Fiddies and Fiddy Destros he supposedly found through an unknown dealer who had them on his shelf for the past 6 years
