So far in surfing this forum, this is the most true statement I have come across.

Fashion can and does turn into a uniform of sorts. In an effort to be individuals, a large groups all start dressing in an "alternative" fashion until it isn't considerd cool or hip to dress another way.

In the particular city I live in, the Hipster and starving musician looks are the current rage. I mean, seriously? My business is in vintage tube audio equipment so I meet with many of these types daily.

If you arent wearing your hipster gear or starving musician costume, they simply dont consider you to be "in fashion".

And what looks to be an expensive watch.......Oh man how uncool YOU are!
