As a noob, I want to say thanks to everyone for accomodating and tolerating my endless questions and anxieties about this process. Got my first rep, a 005k, in the mail today. It's awesome, in case you were wondering.

Great post J-C. I think at times many people forget that they were once a noobie. And on top of that I'm sure that there are often new members that may not only be new to rep watches but also internet forums as well. I've also tried to have a bit of patience for new members and answer what may seem to us to be simple questions.

When I first posted to RG in December 2009, just by accident I posted the same message twice and took some heat for being a newbie.

I've been active on other discussion boards, and RG is generally speaking much more friendly, and especially so with noobs. You can only beat so many people over the head with the search function until it's just not that funny anymore. Also, here the search function is kind of hit or miss so it's not always an adequate solution.
