OK. I got here. Cool. Now, on to draining my credit card. No, not really, that''s the wine talking. (Really)

Can't wait to start. You know, spend some money, get the tingle of anticipation, wonder what's coming next -- will it be good, bad, really bad, really good?

I live in the odd state of Virginia, USA. Not a native. Who is? Oh, those bible thumpers at the 700 Club. Love to hate them. Lots of birds here. I like birds. Hot as hell in the summer. Surprisingly cold in winter. That's the USA for you.

Born in Germany. Came over here young. Did OK. Not rich, not poor. Own my own house. No subprime garbage. Fascinated by time. Hence the watch thing. Can't see spending five large on a timekeeper. Is it jewelry or a complicated machine?

So, now I'm ready to take the plunge. Looking for an IWC clone.
