New Posts does not work

On other fora I usually start by looking for new posts.

That is a great and fast way to keep abreast with what is going on.

Here I click the button but mostly only get a "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms." response from the server.

Any suggestions?

Yeah, I always click on the 'Announcements' forum, then I click 'view new posts'. Thats the only workaround I've found.

That suggests it could be a due to a conflict with the browser. I am on Internet Explorer 9. Perhaps RG has not upgraded to the latest browser versions?

Confirms that the issue could be because the site is not upgrated to handle newver browser versions.

Sorry to repeat this one...

BUT today it worked once after I had opened a PM. Then it did not work again.

Similar to Bonesey's posting above, but different.

Still doesn't work for me after deleting cookies. Also get an error message when using link to thread on this site saying "do not have permission to view". Not sure if this is a related problem.

I think it's a browser issue. I have the same problem using Safari on my iPhone—"New Posts" doesn't work for me most of the time.

Instead, I click on "Quick Links">"Today's Posts" and I am able to see new posts.

This is still happening. It used to work fine on Safari on my iPhone until I upgraded to iOS 5, now it doesn't. Also does not work for me in IE9 or Chrome. It will like work once per day with Chrome and IE9 then stop working. It works 100% solid in IE8 and Firefox 6,7,8 for me.
