Veteran, Noob again rep collector/modder...

First and foremost, great forum guys! Been looking for a reputable place to talk about and buy good quality reps for a while now...Somehow stumbled upon this site and very glad I did.

Just a quick history about me...I was really in to replicas about 15+ years ago, mostly collecting and later modding, working hard and waiting for the day to come when I could afford the real thing without sending me and my family to the poor-house....Anyway; school, career, wife, family, blah-blah-blah happened, you know the story...and got out of the game until now.

Good news is that, over the years, I have been able to afford most of my dream watches (authentic), but the "thrill" of finding, buying, and modding replicas always endured. I still have the very first replica I bought and cherish it as much as my authentic watches. I know what I just said probably sounds silly, but I'm guessing there are other members on this forum that can relate.

My very first replica was the classic Black Rolex Submariner (Automatic of course, don't mean to offend anybody but I can't stand anything quartz) and still works to this very day. I've dived in 3 different oceans with it, not to mention all the countless number of abuses I've put it through over the years, but it still looks great and even functions better than some of my authentic watches. It's amusing how irrate some people get when you mention the word "replica" on the authentic only watch sites

Welcome back to the hobby! If you've been away for 15 years, you will be amazed at the quality and accuracy of many of the new generation of reps. Glad that you found us. This and a very few other forums are the only safe havens in a big scary internet full of scammers.

I share your feelings to a certain extent about rep quartz watches. The only quartz reps that I ever expect to own are ones that come in quartz in the actual gen.

Jump in and join the conversations here. There are ALOT of VERY experienced rep collectors here, and I'm sure that everybody will be happy to help you get back up to speed on the current state of the hobby.
