New member here. I wasn't really aware of the rep industry until recently. I'm going the opposite direction of some members here, from gens to reps. I've loved watches for years, but needed a more economical means of maintaining the habit after falling on harder times. I hope to get more educated as I wouldn't have known the differences before.

Ordered my first rep two months ago, wasn't terribly impressed (noob DSSD), but I think the bar was a bit too high. Hope to be able to consider gens again somewhere in the distant future. But until then, I plan to settle in here.

BTW, hope this isn't taboo, but could someone point me to a thread that talks about how/why there are so many different rep forums? Seems like a lot of the same people on 4 different forums. Just a bit confusing for a newb since I find myself having to search for an answer to a subject on all 4 forums.
