Hi I'm obviously new here. I am 25 and always had a thing for nice watches - when I was a teenager I got my first rep (Tag Heuer) from Hong Kong - it lasted longer than my gen (granted it was a cheap gen). Since then I have always enjoyed a watch even though my generation quickly slipped into the "my smartphone is my watch" mentality.
I have inherited a vintage Tissot c276k (black strap and white face) from my grandfather and also have been given a new Tissot PR-50 with a blue face as an 18th birthday present which has been my only watch for the last 8 years.
I was recently in Asia and saw tons of reps but resisted buying because all I found were terrible, cheaply made junk however it did rekindle my love for timepieces.
I'm going to lurk and do a lot of reading but I do have a few ideas of what I want and I do have a few questions which I'm sure are noobish specifically about the different watch types and a few questions about straps.
