Speaking for other newcomers like myself who do research topics, follow the rules and contribute positively, I must say that this thread comes off as counter productive at best.

I could not even get the gist of what the thought was, let alone see where new members such as yourself would be affected. Basing on your description, you are not one of those lazy new comers (though dare I say that 11 posts does not immediately shout contribute positively).

To the OP and other new members, we do not get annoyed (immediately anyway) with people asking questions to which answers can be found with the use of the search function. Sometimes the way of asking is as important as the question itself. Asking what the best sub, PAM, or any type of watch is too generic to be answered quite satisfactorily. Doing your own research first and then narrowing your choices down to two or three watches would make for a much more focused discussion and ultimately would be better and more informed reading for yourself and probably others who are in the same boat to make the decision later.

The OPs remaining questions aren't watch related and if I knew the answers to those, I would try and sell you my book.
