    Fantastic and inspirational as always!

At my age (20), in my country at least, you're not supposed to wear suits just for fun. I do it anyway! F' em! Although made to measure suits are not something I can afford to wear all the time. I, sadly, own only one. :'( It is my goal however to buy more, and eventually work my way up to Savile Row suits and John Lobb shoes. Can't wait!

Oooo, man with goals (these days, any goals will do) is amazing. But a well-dressed guy with clothes that fit properly and coordinate will always catch a woman's eye. Having a good job helps too but carrying around a corporation is impractical. LOL

Good luck with everything and thanks for reading!

What's life without goals? Are there actually people without goals? A friend of mine used to be severely depressed and even he still had goals. He didn't want to do anything towards those goals because of everything, but he still had them...

    That went dark quickly...

    Just a tad.

But on a lighter note he did have goals.

Suitsupply.com is a dutch company that recently expanded into the NY area. It is not decalo fashion at ALL!!!

For the price they are decent (don't go there expecting Brioni, Kiton, Isaia or Attollini suits). They use decent fabrics and varied cuts (mostly Italian inspired natural shoulders, peak stitching, etc etc and I think they also carry the heavily structured British cut in one of their lines).

I have been a long time and very happy customer of "Wizard of Aahs" While his name is silly, his suits are amazing. Most of the suits are Super 150's and the price points are extremely attractive. I get more compliments from my Wizard suits than I do my Canali and Hugo (only have 1 of each)...but either way, the wizard suits are amazing. Do a google search and you'll find his e/bay storefront. I prefer the Marco Valentino given I am a trim fit, but I'm sure the others are just as nice as well. Enjoy!

Yes.. I'm bring back this thread about: A Suit That Fits!

I put money into it recently, it's looking for crowd funding so I'm a touch self serving :-)

Seeing we are mentioning Bangkok - I will give a shout out to Saville Row (at the Rose Hotel) run by Aaron. They've been in the biz for decades, and are favourites of secret service types (can tailor a jacket to conceal a holster very well). I've bought several suits from them. Oldest is about 15 years old and still quite gorgeous and holding together perfectly. I have all my business shirts made there for about $30 a pop. They are made to my own design and they keep patterns and measurements on file so that they can remake perfectly. I'd suggest an initial fitting in person of course. They do regular tours through the US / Europe / Australia etc where they can measure you up. My wife also got her bridal dress made through them and it was absolutely stunning.

    Necroposting again!

Raja is still running, with the adverts for visiting London once or twice a year, measuring you and then sending you a suit made in India.

I have bought genuine fashion for approaching 5 decades now. I prefer Issey Miyake, Giuliano Fujiwara, Nicole Farhi, Katharine Hamnett, Jil Sander, Comme des Garcons, so my tastes don't often cross with posts like this or my friends' tastes.

But for casual stuff i do wear Reiss, Hugo, Stone Island, Paul Smith etc.

And when it comes to replicas it is really interesting, the parallels between fashion and horology.

I was at a wedding in NI recently and met a kid wearing a Christian Dior suit. Bought in Thailand for literally $13. He was convinced it was genuine, but grey market, and had just been pulled out of the production line and sent out of the back door.

As ever there are obvious tells when you know the industry. I was also wearing a Christian Dior suit.

On the bathroom scales, his jacket weighed 250g. Mine, 1800g.

As regards jackets concealing holsters, I think that is hilarious.

As regards fabrics holding together for 15 years; it's all a matter of storage. Nothing to do with initial quality.

And as for shirts made to your own design, I appreciate the post is 5-6 years old. Maybe the guy got shot by another guy over shirt design and din't even realize the other guy was carrying.

Definitely up to discuss fashion and tailoring but this thread wasn't it even in 2017.
