Donation of geekbux to sell/trade?

I know there's already a limit on how many watches and straps a geek may sell within a 30-day period, but in addition, has admin considered making each geek donate some geekbux to be able to sell/trade?

Just an idea. Because there's no monetary donation to the board for being able to sell/trade, perhaps a donation of geekbux (and the donated bux goes to something else) would be an interesting way to "fundraise" somehow.

well.. since gbucks have no value.. seems weird to require it for any 'fundraiser'

in theory though, it would keep people active on the forums if they sold.

so that 100 post guy would have to post another 20 times before selling something else or whatever.. but.. that would also just encourage more BS posts..

yeah.. i'm aware that i need to get 100 post in order to sell.. but it gives me the chance to keep what i have for now

Donating Gb is silly..... as said they're worthless!

Why not give VIP's a chance to sell more stuff than the current max.... You could make the current max something like 'free' sales but ask like a couple of cents for every item put on sale beyond that one.. This way diehards can sell a bit quicker and the forum will benefit from it as well.....

couple cents?

well VIPs can already list unlimited in the VIP sales.

You know, as a comment, I think it would be nice for us as a forum to get into the habit of posting our sales first in VIP sales to give fellow supporters first shot, then if it doesnt sell after a day, pop it over to normal.

think about the reasoning,

anyway, i think acting in that way helps us to support the forum, as well as other members who have supported the forum.

its a (small) perk to current members, and a perk to the forum as a whole.

only downside is some non VIP may inevidably complain that all the good sales get grabbed up by VIPs.. but... we are 'very important' afterall..

Our VIP's already have that chance since the VIP sale area has no limit, just as the VIP Rules sticky states. I know that you probably just forgot after you read them....

The General sale Area will continue to have limits. That is not going to change. For the foreseeable future we will not be demanding donations from the proceeds of sales but if one decides to donate out of the goodness of their heart we, of course would welcome that.
