New member who needs pointing in the right direction

I am a new RepGeek member from U.K. and although I wish to purchase a couple of pieces, I am afraid of making mistakes.
Firstly, what are the risks of buying outside the U.K. and being met with high import duties, or having the watch seized by customs?
Secondly, I have come across several high end pieces on the internet, stating that the original watch has been dismantled and new pieces manufactured, to replicate the watch exactly and it is nearly impossible for experts to tell the difference. Is this just hot air and not at all realistic.?
These pieces are around $1,300 and come with reproduction boxes and papers - said to be "a gift".
Any advice from members greatly appreciated with recommendations on who to deal with.

I have never had an issue with customs from our trusted dealers (TDs), so I advise simply looking at as many as you feel you need, then contacting the one/s that you find an affininity with.
Personally I use intime, Puretime and Chazingtime but I know all TDs source the same watches and will serve you well.

recommend Sead1999 hes a trusted dealer, he will help you with shipping issues. search engine is your friend do your research in the model you want then ask the dealer.

Your questions will be answered if you do a little digging as all of those concerns have been discussed before. sead1999 (Super Mirrors) is a great TD to start with. Sometimes, factories will buy the gen to copy into a rep but not always. Rep boxes and papers don't relly serve any useful purpose unless you have only one rep and have the space to put the box on.
