I'm a massive watch fan and have books and books, literally hundreds of magazines and many, many dealer brochures. However, I know nothing about replica collecting. Even with all the books etc, I'm prepared to admit I hardly know a thing about watches in general. What I go for are the looks. I'm definitely form-over-function.

I'll probably get kicked off for saying this in such a well populated forum, but I couldn't care less about whether the right name is on the right watch. I just want something people are going to talk about when they see it.

I am not a purist. I'll buy a watch because I like the look of it, not because it is the exact shade of blue as the genuine article. I'll even buy one in a colour never seen on an original. I'm not bothered if some crazy manufacturer sticks an Omega badge on a Seiko clone as long as it looks good.

My day-to-day is a Patek Philippe Moonphase which I've not seen in any catalogue, but I dont care.

My price range is more of the fantasy watch side than the actual replica watch. I doubt I've ever spent more than $80 on a replica, even though I can afford more than that.

My current collection includes:

Patek Philippe
Blancpain
Omega
Chopard
IWC
Bell & Ross
Vacheron Constantin
A Lange & Sohne

I hope to buy more, or just sit around and look at the pretty pictures!

Welcome.

80 bucks for replica seems quite cheap. Would you mind sharing what you have got so far?

TBH a good quality rep is around 300USD+ (non quartz).
