Beautiful clocks. I have a lot ornate clocks, candelabras and other antique decorative items scattered throughout my house and love them all.
Polished and tarnished brass, bronze, gold plated bronze, you name it
I think The Netherlands and Western Europe in general is a heaven for collectors of such things. Most of my antiques were imported from France but i've got a few gilded, 1940s armchairs from Holland. Beautiful pieces of furniture.

How does the gold plating hold up on these? Been wondering what kind of life expectancy to get out of it before it flakes or scratches off.
