I have been looking too. A lot of it is personal preference. I would like a less bulky wallet, but the ease of use (not having to fumble around with stacked cards, getting right what I need, etc.) is convenient.
I have gone the money clip route, but it didn't do much for cards. I have used a sail cloth wallet - extremely thin and relatively cheap, but if you put much of anything in it, it deformed (think more of thin plastic than fabric). I even tried the broccoli wad - same issue with the cards. Maybe one of those card holders with a money clip on the outside is what I need.
Old thread, but I use a Johnston Murphy Weekender, have had them for about 10 years now. Lasts about 2 years before needing replaced (Wife washes it by accident).
If you’re into leather goods check out Col Littleton front pocket wallets. Exceptional craftsmanship and some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced
I've had a Tiffany money clip for 20 years. It works amazing. I've taken it into a Tiffany store about three times in those 20 years and they polish and tighten it for free. Talk about a product worth every penny.
Depends on what you’re going for. Usually I use a card case by Coach (great quality, toned down but still “designer” of it must be, and a money clip; I personally prefer either the Gerber money clip or the Boker Subcom.
So let me ask a silly little question. If you will not clear out your existing wallet, won't you just have the same stuff...just now all loose and falling out of your pockets?
