Default n0bby from the Isle of Wight, UK

Hello rep watch peeps! I'm Neil, know to friends as nobby, and I'm an aging video game developer based on this Island dangling off the south of the UK.

I've just ordered my first reps - a trio of inexpensive models, from Andrew at Trusty Time. Now I'm eagerly waiting for the QC pics. They are:
Speedmaster Silver Snoopy (OMG0417A - Speedmaster Snoppy SS/LE White OS20 Quartz)
Submariner Kermit (ROLSUB109C - 16610LV Black SS Sub Asian 2813)
    SuperOceanAbyss 44 (BSW0323A - Superocean Abyss 44 SS/SS Blk/Wht VK Quartz)

I chose the models by what appeals to my sense of aesthetics, and (to my mind) makes a nice little set of different manufacturers' offerings. I've done some reading up on the various rep forums to get a sense of what to expect.

I'll post some pics when the watches arrive, and see what you seasoned reppers think.

Hi Daytona Dragon! Thanks for the welcome. No, I didn't work on Pacman - I'm co-founder of an indie development studio called "Stainless Games". We do a wide variety of dev work, including Magic: Duels and the Carmageddon series.

A bit of "my watch history" background... I've never owned a rep or an expensive watch - unless a Fitbit is classed as expensive - it's certainly the most I ever spent on a "watch". I put watch in inverted commas there because it became obvious to me about 5 minutes after I started using the Fitbit that the most useful thing about a watch is telling the time. And telling the time shouldn't involve waving your arm around or pressing a button to get the screen to wake up so you can see what the time is.

Anyway, prior to the Sh*tbit I spent years wearing very cheap analogue or digital watches. I always admired more exotic time pieces but thought the prices were stupid. However, more recently I got into a gateway replica market for another over-priced commodity - Lego. And that led me to the rep watch community...

Please excuse a couple of posts here that aren't saying very much - I need a post count of 15 to be able to PM someone about a watch for sale!

    - - - Updated - - -

Just to avoid this being total spam - my current watch cost about £7, and I bought it from Aliexpress while intending to buy a new strap for my Fitbit...
