UK Newbie, go easy on me!

Hi all!

Another UK member for you guys and gals.
I'm a complete novice unless a $8 watch on a thai beach counts?!
So please be patient with my naive questioning and thoughtless postings.
Firstly i offer my thanks that i found this site and others affiliated with it otherwise i'd be well out of pocket by now. I'm still trying to put the jigsaw together... ie. this website is his, this website is theirs, she's great but wheres her website, it drove me insane at first. I'm hoping to dip my toe in the water in the near future and purchase my first rep, trying to way up the pros and cons of how, where, who, how much? (i dont fancy losing $500 on my first throw, once bitten etc.)
So all advice is welcomed and much appreciated, UK dealers or customs hints and tips.

Welcome aboard, TMan. I wish I had taken the time when I was at Padia Beach to research the reps, but I was occupied elsewhere.

Welcome aboard, and no reason to be apprehensive. The "learned" here are kind and generous with their knowlege. I learn something new everyday.

The first thing I learned was to RESEARCH before you buy. And once I did some research, I bought from a reccomended dealer. That would be the only advise I feel qualified to provide at this time.

But again, welcome to an awesome forum!!!

Welcome from another UK newbie. Loads of info on here, do the research and it will pay off. Mind you, like you I have been to Thailand and know the prices over there on the street as compared to the dealers. If I go back next year for another 'tour of duty' with the lads, I'll be doing me shopping there.
