Hello from Tennessee
I’m a noob to the Rep world, but honestly I’m fascinated. I have always owned genuine watches, but the Rep arena seems a lot more interesting. Got interested after I purchased a Rep Deep Sea from an old man who was selling it to fix his truck. I knew it wasn’t Genuine but felt bad for him, so I went ahead and purchased it, and love it so much that it’s now my daily. Looking forward to learning much more.

I really appreciate that. I’m reading as many of the forum posts as I can, and trying to understand all the terms so I can really get into the hobby. I was just reading the thread about the best rep of the year, and I honestly didn’t understand most of the posts. Hahahahaha. What’s a DaytonaNoob vs a VF? Are those companies? Models? Ha. So much to learn.

Daytona is the Rolex model.
Noob, VF, and ARF is the "factory" who makes and assembles the watch.
Also this hobby requires patience.
Buy the seller don't buy the watch.
If you are not buying from a RG member only purchase from a RG TD (trusted dealer).
We were all newbies at one time and were like you when it came to terminology for rep watches on RG.

“Buy the seller don’t buy the watch” - this sounds like wisdom. I’ll remember this. Thanks!
