$25K Tiffany 5711 Rep?
I’m in a watch trading group on facebook. Lately some custom DiW Daytonas and Prohunters have rolled through. They are clearly advertised by sellers as aftermarket etc.
Tonight I watched a Tiffany 5711 non-genuine watch sell for $25k. Apparently has a 5711 movement which I don’t doubt. Case/dial/bracelet are all custom it says. Just curious to gauge people’s thoughts on this. Imo, this is the most expensive and crazy franken I have ever seen. It sold in under a couple hours.

I think they take a movement from a Calatrava,
What I heard is they buy a calatrava with the same movement, melt the calatrava case for gold and put the gen movement in an aftermarket case. Usually to shower it with diamonds, but never seen it done plain like this

Scam of the year for rep watches at those prices.
"Aiyah Panerai, buay beh liao eh lah."
WTB your Kevin, Ted Su, Wotancraft, Piotr or Simona Straps for 24 mm and or 26 mm width and at least 80mm by 140mm length or larger. Want To Buy Panerai 168, 196, 213, 253, 308, 332, 519, and 654 and other Panerai Chronographs and AP ROO's.

Interesting. I was wondering where the hell they just source a movement from besides stealing real watches. This makes sense though. Cannot believe someone paid $25k
- I’m sure the movement is valuable but cmon.

I would never buy a watch of that price and status on FB Marketplace.
No way .

I and several friends have bought rolexes via that group. Lots of jewelers with reputable storefronts just moving stuff wholesale/naked.
Lately I started seeing people move rolexes with aftermarket parts (bezels, bracelets) etc. People with not much experience in the group specifically. Recently a new guy got popped for selling one as fully genuine but it had an aftermarket bracelet.
Then this guy just comes in with this franken Patek which is just blatantly a rep watch lol. I don’t think I’d buy from the group anymore unless it was a previous shop I’d done biz with.
The group used to be really strict on things but they seem to have loosened up waaay too much. As you said, at that price point, too dangerous to allow slack on anything that isn’t 100% genuine.

A franken PP with a gen movement for $25,000 in a rep case, with rep dial, and rep bracelet, and rep crystal and rep crown and rep hands is a rip off.

Completely agree. Probably was no diff from a tiff 5711 we could just buy from a TD here. Pop movement in, and enjoy your profit.

To add to this, I saw a green dial PP sell for $120k. Dial was “swapped but genuine” - when seller was questioned where the dial came from, he had no idea. It still sold. May make another post separate about it.

How do you know the dial was genuine.
