having quite a bit of experience with profanity filters...

It's bloody hard to write a good one... I mean, it's near impossible to write one that will actually stop people who *really* want to swear..

now, i know this is a grown ups forum, so shouldnt be too much of people doing their darndest to circumvent it.. but.. its tricker than you'd think to catch em all (and false positives are amazingly prevalent)

An early version of ours.. had.. issues..

we'd see all sorts of weird things being filtered, like

'guellermo del toro, the gr*** **xican director' (eat me)

to all sorts of random weird results.

but yea

tonight i am pulling an all nighter...

i slept in late yesterday (late night partying)

and tomorrow (this morning) at 8am, the apartment complex is starting 'fire alarm testing' for the whole day..

so, rather than either way up early and leave the apartment

decided, i'd rather not be woken up by sirens.. tends to ruin my morning

so, I'm preparing for a full day out..


also working on packing, and making plans for the move, etc etc

mm.. 5am.. time to grab some breakfast
