We need a Style Section

OK-

Been bangin around here for a few months and have made some rather astute observations.

Posh is spot on with her diamond simulant and rep bag knowledge. Great writing style and very nice pics. Plus she is spot on with both men's and women's style and is on top of fashion trends.

Razorphish has been bringing back traditional (and definitely needed) lifestyle and fashion tips.

Let's open up a "Style" section and make these two mods.

I know this is a watch forum, but how many times have we said "well I can't pull off a PP or Breguet?".

My line of reasoning is to have a section on advice on how to pull off that PP.

The total package, from jewelry to purse/luggage to suit/tie/pocket square to shoe combos.

Plus we already have a rep accessory section so Sparta isn't currently SOLELY a watch forum. Just expand the idea a bit more.....

Well we have rep diamonds, rep Tiffany and other jewelry, rep shoes, rep suits, rep pens, rep 7000 dollar cell phones, rep watches, rep wallets, rep bags, rep belts......

no offense to razor, as i enjoyed reading those 2 posts, but both were just cribbed from another website.... he didnt write those, nor did he claim to.

If thats all it takes to become a mod here, cripes, i'm gonna go copy paste me some leather articles!

or maybe copypaste some ziggy articles instead. then i can be a mod? weeeeeee watch out for rofls 7750 guide... coming right up!

Maybe a section in the Members Area akin to Jackjo's and By-Tor's then?

Posh's posts are original, informative, thoughtful and bring a world of knowledge on the higher end of accessories most of us don't think about and fashion in general (both men and women's).

The more quality reps that get brought to light, be they watches, wallets or jewelry- the better for all of us. I'd say we're lucky to have someone willing to put in the time like Posh does to inform us about them!

I'd like to make a point. The articles that I post usually will not be written by my self. Rather, they are interesting articles that I find and want to share with others. I could simply post a link, but my goal is inform our forum in the most convenient way possible. Thus, I take the time to recreate the article here. As a father, a husband and a CEO I often don't have the time to write something original, but I do enjoy sharing the information that I find relevant.

I truly admire Posh for taking the time to write such interesting and original articles. If anyone were to be given a style forum, it should be Posh. I'm an off-topic hack, at best.

Besides, I'm too busy shining my watches.

Waffle; wasn't meaning sitewide mod, just over their domain.

Posh puts an AMAZING amount of time and energy in an attempt to give sorry old farts like me class and sophistication.

razor takes time and finds articles that attempt the same thing and he gives credit where credit is due.

Plus it'd be nice to have a one-stop-shop for everything to help us pull off the PP and not look like an a$$clown doing it.

I agree lets do it. POSH is great with style. For all of you who subscribe to GQ, I'm sure you read the satorial conundrums etc. Now this is a DUDE saying what works what does not. I think we should get this from a lady ie. posh. See how they see things.

hrm.. while i enjoy posh's articles, why not just sticky them in a style section?

bytor didnt get his own section after only 4-5 quality posts... just saying

fragmenting the forum down to 'quality members each get their own section' doesnt make much sense

you want a 'posh section'?
do a search for posts started by posh, wow, done! bookmarked, etc

might as well give medenblik his own section, the 'Nice Watch' Section. I guess he has his own section called 'word association thread'

we can finally get some proper reviews of the rep style sites (because right now, its all hearsay, and guesses whether you will get ripped off.. 'oh this site looks pretty, lets order from there'... and theres still no consensus on best quality bags/sunglasses/wallets/suits, or any comparison, or any real information...

so, i'd vote yes for a Rep Style section (which can be taken to mean 'replica style items' or 'style for wearing replica goods' either or, whatever.... both are needed)

Who'd be better to run the Rep Style section than Posh? Girl's got more class than anyone I know.

I agree that this forum could be opened up a bit with more sub catagories for other brands and other rep products. Outside of watches I would like a rep Heather Graham!

Absolutely brilliant idea! Whether Posh mods it or constantly adds to it matters little to me. Posh's articles are brilliant and I know she will continue to contribute.

Having a style section at RG I think is pretty important. I mean, after all aren't we all trying to pull off $5k+ watches? Not to get into the whole issue of "do you tell them it's a rep or not", but seriously if we didn't care how good that watch looked, we'd be wearing $20 crap watch everyday. It's the whole package. I for one do not want to be wearing a blinged out black Chanel and carrying a crappy obvious knock-off bag. I pick my clothes and shoes AND watch very carefully.

Not your thing? No need to visit the section. I don't spend a lot of time in the section on how to mod your Pam, but I believe it's absolutely essential here. We even have a jokes section and an off topic section.....why not a style section???

There a quite a lot of active females on the board. Trying to get laid has nothing to do with it, plus I'm married to the hottest woman on the planet

I just think she has something to offer the community as a whole and has gone beyond just posting a review here or there.

I for one welcome her advice and I think others have as well. Got a good split on the vote- does that mean 1/2 want to get in her pants and 1/2 don't?

Just think it was something to be thrown out and discussed- no reason to turn it into a flame fest.
