Hi all, new here from TORONTO.. Bit confused though.. I have some questions :)

Hi all

I am a new member here from Toronto -- I have never owned a single watch before, not even a cheap $5 plastic one!

I originally found out about "replicas" because I was in our IRC channel and I asked what the best watch under $1000 was (since that was my max budget) and was disappointed to see that pretty much the best I was finding for under $1k CDN taxes IN was probably a Tissot or maybe a Movado 800 series on sale.

So then someone told me about replica watches, and how its not like some "cheap ripoff" like one would assume but some replicas actually have a ton of work and detail put into them... and for around $500 you have a beautiful model that looks like $5000

So all this being said -- I love the ideas of it and really want one. But I'm having trouble figuring some things out. I've looked at the BK's watch garage (which my friend on IRC specifically reccomended) and have looked at the WM9 website, but am I right in understanding there is actually nothing currently ready for sale and ready to be shipped?

I ask because I have to travel in a week or two and really would like to buy something NOW so I can have it in time.

Also, one more question, does anyone know of anything on "sale" maybe right now that is a good buy? Considering this is my first watch EVER something in the 500-dollar range would be a nice first purchase I think.. I know its not really that much money but it is a recession after all and I don't have a major income or anything!

So yeah, im ranting, but if anyone can direct to me to ready-to-be-shipped quality items, or anything "on sale", it would be majorly appreciated... I'm even going to arrainge FedEx to pick up the item so I can get it overnight delivery (and insured and much safer)..

sead will hook you up with something nice for under $500 that you'll be amazed by!

If so I would also contact Jackjo, he has some of the best Sea Dwellers on the site and if I'm not mistaken he has some available right now for around your $500 limit. He also has a section here on RG in the "Members Area" called "Jackjo's Watch Crib - Mods and Reviews" You won't go wrong with a Jackjo for sure eh!!

I am definitely interested in a Rolex or an Omega, those seem to be really nice looking and I am a fan of the all-metal designs.. I am not a fan of "fabric" straps on a watch at all... I'm a real sucker for that nice James Bond Omega with the blue face as well.. But I'm sure everyone loves that one haha

Hey Toronto,

Stay away from FedEx/UPS/DHL when shipping into toronto. That kind of stuff gets held up and the duties are expensive.

USPS priority (if what you are buy is from the US), or EMS for all other international shipments.... That stuff makes it through mississauga distribution centre the fastest
