Something wrong with search... (new problem)

OK we all know the search function on this BB software is not great, as it only distinguishes single words, you can't specify phrases or use a 'union' operator...

BUT there's a new problem which appeared around the last downtime event when we were all RWG refugees for a couple of days.

I used to regularly use the search function, to seach for posts by my own username. The search by default should put the most recent ones last, and this I found was a great way to stay on top of threads that I was commenting in.

For some reason, since the last downtime event, that no longer works. Even now when I search for posts by user "replin" I get at the top of the page threads I haven't commented in for months. And I cannot find threads I posted in just the last week.

This is massively reducing the amount by which I'm able to contribute and/or enjoy the forum, as I keep losing track of which threads I commented in and they just die, even if someone's replied to something I said and I would normally respond further.

Is anyone else having this problem?

OK, on the list to tweak.

In the meantime, click your user CP and click

All posts by "your username"

It will display all of your posts, in chronological order ...

I think that some work needs to be done on the search, i would like if you search for something that it brings that right up and you do not have to look through half the fourm to find what you want. just a thought
