I've found there is a common thread among people that appreciate the mechanical nature of things, DIY activities, modifying things and so on....lots of car people are also watch people, for example.

you even get this addicted that you buy a gen one... its sick.. I know... When I bought my first rolex rep I thought what idiots pay big money for the gen ones. Stupid bricks! Now I`ve got a gen one too and still hunting for good replicas.
How can u not buy a TC? How can u not buy a BP 16600? :-)

As far as the black hole of watch collecting... started with vintage pieces about two years ago and that was bad enough
These days I view the forums everyday... im apart of 4 (rep/homage)
Ive only purchased 2 which 1 I sold already
but I have a TC YM in the mail
and im contempting several other purchases at this time... so its safe to say I'm consumed lol

i started buying 300ish pams, checked them all out, to know owning a couple of modded Aps, and now entering in the tourbys world. But i seriously gave myself a 10k collection value limit !! Hope i will be strong enough...

but i must say now i am the first one to answer when someone ask about current time , and not by shwing time on my iphone

...

Go over your limit while you enjoy the thrill of buying new watches but once the dust settles I would, as many of us eventually do, sell off half your collection and buy a nice gen or two of your fav watches, so you have a nice mixture.

I think I have become quite disciplined in this hobby now, I'm finding it a lot easier to flip watches I don't have any need, i don't wear this and resist buying ones.

I i'm too late to read this forum i so quite well disciplined on this forum, This is true. i got 10 reps one weeks ago and are all ready about to order more because i loved Watches.
