Pugwash is the handle I use on the less reputable sites where I don't use my real name. It started out as a name I used in piracy circles in the 1980s, as Captain Pugwash is my favourite pirate.

When I originally started going on forums, I really wanted Pepe. When I was at U of S, I wrote for the campus newpaper under the pen name Pepe Cortez (my real name is Curtis). As all the forums I wanted to join had Pepe already taken, I used the name of my co-writer, Miquel Sanchez.

My username comes from the Rush song "By-Tor and the Snow Dog".. from one of their early albums "Fly By Night".

Ironically, it's one of my least favorite songs (and albums) from the band. I picked it because it sounds cool.

I love reading and learning about the original Frogmen that started the Panerai craze....I really got interested in the history of the company and where they came from.

General Maximus Decimus Meridius. . . Gladiator is one of my favorite movies, but "Maximus" seems to go fast on forums, so I tried out Meridius and ended up sticking with it.

I was in Atlantic City 3 years ago and started playing craps for the first time. They told me that I should roll either a 7 or 11 on the out roll to win before setting a point...I rolled a 7, 7 times in a row.

I wanted to find a picture that showed more than just him in case people did not recognize him from the show.
