Trade guidelines : are we all egal?

Hi everyone,

just a little observation I have. As everyone should have noticed, we have trade guidelines which limits to 3 the number of watches sold per month and that each post must be only about 1 watch. That said, while browsing the trade area, I witnessed that both rules were broken by one of the founder of this forum. I know that the founders are the one creating and enforcing the rules, but are they above it? I can understand that someone needs to sell a bunch of watches to free some cash or for whatever reason, so should we allow VIP members an unlimited number of sales like on RWI or at least an higher number? This way, this kind of 2 different levels of enforcement would not be present.

pafre, thank you for bringing this up. There was an bug in the way the sales were posted that allowed this. We have a trade area for everyone and a trade area for VIP. In the VIP Trade area you can do unlimited sales as long as they are not for profit sales, meaning if we see somoene selling a barrage of new watches we will stop them.

There is a form in the VIP Trade area as well that must be filedl out to post a sale, the same as in the Regular Trade area. For about a one week period the form for the VIP Trade area was pointed to post the thread onto the regular trade area, instead of VIP Trade Area. I noticed this error when I went to post the sale in the VIP Trade are and it showed up in the Regular trade Area. To be fair to the people that had already seen the thread I left them there. There were about two members that were able to do this but only becasue they meant to post the form in the VIP Trade area, and the form misdirected it to the Regular Trade Area.

This bug has since been corrected.
