Hey RepGeekers,

I've been lurking on this forum off and on for quite some time and am ready to jump in with both feet. So glad to have found you! Hi!

It's been a rough couple of years. A divorce, a career change, moving locations... it's been a hard journey and cost a ton of money along with way - especially the lawyer's fees. As a result I had to part with two gens - a Breitling Super Avenger and a U-BOAT FlightDeck 50mm Chronograph. Both of them bought at Tourneau in Manhattan. It broke my heart to sell them, but alas it was necessary to float the boat.

So here I am looking to replace them at a fraction of the cost. However, with all the other rep goodies out there I may have to explore some other options. Thoughts?

What would I expect to pay for a gen bracelet for the SA? General ballpark figure...

although one of the nicest Breitling bracelets, the SA bracelet is also the cheapest in gen form, not sure that is becuase of availability, MSRP or a combo of both.

a gen bracelet for a BCE would be about $600 and the Bentley bracelets when found (quite rare) are in the $900 plus range in comparison
Frankly the SA bracelet is heavier and better made then the BCE bracelet (talking gens not reps)

Agreed the SA bracelet was one of the things I loved most about my Gen SA. The weight and fit were very impressive. I know it's a common rep watch, but man...it's still a looker in my book.

If you really liked your SA, definately get a rep of one. They are excellant reps, and pop up for sale here on the board quite often. Then do some searching until you find the right watch to replace your U-Boat. Careful though, this can get VERY addictive!

Might be able to save yourself some time. Although knowing the going rate of gen SA and BCE bracelets is helpful to some (God I'm even speaking in jargon myself) do you really want to know that much about watches?

It basically boils down to price (like many things, and the entire reason people are here to begin with). If you know the watch you want, go to TrustyTime or PureTime and buy the most expensive version you can/want to afford.
