OK, so I don't know if we're gonna get creepy, but hopefully we can get some nice watches for the collection!

How's everyone doing? Came across this site from another site I belong to and the inventory there seems to be nothing more then Breightlings, Rolex, and Panerai so I thought I would search around on some new sites to see what's up.

I haven't been in pursuit for Reps online until recently. I live in NYC so it's pretty simple to get a decent knockoff. Quality has been dropping out here though, so I was forced to take my talents to south beach... well not really South Beach... but abroad to the World Wide Web. That good ol' WWW...

Hoping to talk to you all about some interesting stuff, and find some good pieces. Feel free to keep the convo going!

Correct markings, movement, subdials, operation of subdials, Crystal, Box, Papers etc...

I'm EXTREMELY thorough in my investigation of something I'm going to purchase before I do. I love the Rep "hobby" more so for the search & coming out with a great likeness. I've gotten burned a few times, but overall I've had pretty good quality reps. I'm hoping by going through these boards, and talking to some of the members here I can step it up to the next level or quality, and replication.

Nothing better then walking into a jeweler, or watch store and they admire your watch, and can't tell you payed maybe $450 for yours, and the one in their case is $25,000. A slight feeling of victory! LOL

Also, this behavior here is not tolerated here and will get you booted. Go and read the FAQ's and things before you post again as other members will light you up very quickly...next time take your watch off, the people making a living selling watches do not appreciate your fake watch and they probably know but won't say anything...

This is a big No No....We don't take our watches into Gen Shops and brag about how your 200 dollar watch is better than theirs...we don't want to draw attention to our hobby...

Also where the heck do you find "decent" watches in NYC. i live here too and canal street is pure junk. If that is the case, you will find many many awesome pieces on this forum.

But to make it like you just pissed on the bible (which I have no issues with btw), is so dogmatic.. just do it folks.. nothing will ever happen to you or the rep dealers..

This rule is in place so we do not get any unnecessary attention. It is not the stupidest rule, it is the easiest to adhere to. Why would you want an AD to complain to the upper management that these $300 "Super Reps" are taking away so much business from them. All this would do is push the "gen" makers to raise their counterfeit awarness and shut down the websites/dealers we know and love.

It's not a huge effort to put your watch in your pocket when you are in an AD even if they don't know their ass from their elbow.

The rare time I've gone into an AD wearing a rep. It's hidden the entire time under my sleeve, or I throw it in my pocket. And I don't wear a rep of the brand of AD I'm walking in to. That's just asking for a call out from the sales associate once you start perusing.
