Thumbs up Petition to add "Size" field to Rep Sales forum

I would like to suggest that we add a "size" field to the required fields in the Rep Sales forum. It seems like a question that gets asked inevitably anyway, why not be proactive. I really can't tell by the picture alone and it is a very important item of information in order for me to know if I am interested or not. What say you fellow "Geeks"!

I personally don't see the use of adding that but please others chime in.

What size would you like to know?
The size of the watchhead? Or the strap, and and the lugs or buckle? I mean there are so many variables to a watch its almost impossible to capture all in a single field

Size of most reps is the same as the gen so quick google of the watch in question will get you the info you need

If you are really interested in the item for sale (it could pertain to straps as well), you could either ask in the thread or ask in PM. Like what has been said by my colleague @wimpie007 , there are a lot of size variables that would simply be a chore to put in a field.

Then the inevitable "what's 26? is that the lug size or the thickness of the watch head?" type questions would appear. Then the field would have not made much sense.

I do applaud sellers who are very meticulous in their FS ads in indicating all the info there is about their item. But when a piece of info is missing, it is but the buyer's duty to ask.

You really don't need an m2m seller for that kind of information about a watch you're interested in. A cursory lookup on your favorite TD's site will give you that and more. You should be doing that anyway before you commit to the transaction. It's called "due diligence."

Pretty pointless. If you're interested in a particular watch, you should know the size. Google is also an amazing tool.

Honestly, if it weren't a mandatory field... diameter and lug dimensions shouldn't be too hard to add.

If dimensions of the rep are off that of the original, maybe. But then that wouldn't be the quality of reps we are used to here are we?

Agree, there is no need to add "size" in the field.

I would be in favor of adding size fields for case and lug width dimensions.

Personally I think useful information if it pertains to the size of the strap. Often links can be missing in bracelets or straps replaced so knowing the Max size of the currently fitted attachment is (ie: wrist diameter) would be helpful to buyers.

Maybe just for models which can be confusing....Omega Panet Ocean 42/45 for instance.
