Default PP Aquanauts from Joshua NOT water resistant :-(

Bought 2x Aquanaut (PPAQ01034R & PPAQ1037R) from Joshua, neither of which are water resistant as stated in the description. Both leak around the Crystal. I have removed the crystal and tried to reset the crystal (glass) with GS Hypo Cement but to no success at sealing them, unless of course i flood the crystal with way too much cement, which obviously looks a complete mess. The lip of the case is so small for the crystal to sit on and seal.

My guess is most if not all of these Aquanauts probably leak. Not ideal for a supposedly waterproof model and especially when stated on the dealers website :-(

Has anyone else found this problem?

No rep will be waterproof from the TD no matter what they say. Get it tested.

90% of the watches I buy are and yes I did test it when it arrived. This is a tricky model to seal the crystal.

Perhaps I have been fortunate but with exception of one cheap one years ago (before I found the forums), all of my divers have performed flawlessly under water.
I have a TT Sub from Andrew that I take in the pool pretty much every day but as above comments, best to get new watches tested first.
Sorry to hear your story though bud.

Mine are all waterproof. Except one panerai that showed some damp behind the glass. It dried up and worked afterwards.

I would never trust a replica to be waterproof. I even worry about genuine watches!!!
