    Default My $585 membership fee

I was just referred to this site after posting a thread on another board about how I got scammed on a replica Rolex Submariner. I sure wish I had this information before I threw out $585 on a cheap piece of Chinese junk.

I know I was totally stupid, I know my actions were moronic but, still, I was fleeced. Really, I'm not a complete idiot. I found all the bogus replica review sites and bought into the BS they spewed, not realizing I was being scammed.

Not being able to afford a real Rolex, I wanted a good watch that offered me the style of the blue dial Submariner. I wasn't trying to fool anyone, and certainly had no intention of reselling the watch as real; I just loved the look of this watch. I fell, hook line and sinker, for the ETA 27 jewel Swiss movement claims and called Blue Fakes in NYC to order one at the "discount" summer special price of only $585. Blue Fakes was the top, recommended dealer listed on one site. That, plus their 125% guarantee of a true Swiss movement, a 30 day return policy, and a 5 year warranty, all pushed me towards this site.

Upon calling, I was told that they no longer accepted credit cards, so the transaction had to be COD. Red flag, but I wanted the Swiss replica so I agreed. Overnight Fed Ex shipping was provided at no charge (how generous of them!) and I got the watch the next day. What I got was a cheap Chinese knock-off packaged in a crappy black box with stick on letters that said "ROLEX." The letters fell right off. The watch actually did look very good with pretty nice detailing. Unfortunately, one of the luminous numeral inserts had fallen out and was now loose under the crystal. Also, the watch didn't even work! Nothing I did, winding or rocking it, made any difference. At this point, I started to get a very sick feeling in my stomach and knew I had been taken.

I called Blue Fakes immediately and spoke with a very sympathetic salesman. He said he would have someone call me back. Surprisingly, a person actually did call me back within minutes. He said he would have a call tag issued for the defective watch and have a new one shipped out immediately. This was, in retrospect, a delaying tactic used to put me off until my money order was cashed. I never got the call tag, I never got a replacement watch. For the $35 or so that these watches wholesale for, you'd think they could keep their victims quiet by at least providing replacements for bad watches; but they won't even do that.

I have called Blue Fakes repeatedly, but now can't even reach a person. My calls are immediately forwarded to an answering machine and my numerous messages are never answered. Once, I did get through, and was promptly hung up on when I mentioned wanting a refund.

I can personally confirm what others have already said. Web based sellers of replica watches will ship the lowest quality units and all claims to the contrary are simply false. Blue Fakes is a 100% scam and only ships the cheapest Chinese fakes. They have no customer service and will not honor any of their web based claims.

This sad lesson cost me $585 ... my money is lost and outfits like Blue fakes will continue to fleece countless other victims out of their money with lies and junk merchandise.

I know now what I should have known earlier. My thanks to this site for providing the information it has. Too bad there wasn't a link to repgeek on the Blue Fakes web site!
