    Default Daytona quick question

    Hi guys,

I am pretty new here and I don't know much about this site (it's been a pain just to find out how I could start a new thread.) Anyhow, I have this Daytona that doesn't see any action on my wrist as I find it too small and pretty. It's got the swiss Valjoux 7753 as a movement and some very fine lines on bezel and bracelet. I got it from my watch dealer in Fuzhou, China (who I am friends with) a while back and now I was wondering if I was to sell it here how much I should ask for it? I really don't need to sell it, I just think it's a pity not to get the wrist time it deserves. Thanks for your time.

Sorry, I don't have the right tool to do that. I am not worried about proving it's swiss (my friend opened it for me, I am good here) I was just curious how much it would be valued by the community. I haven't seen Daytonas with swiss movement on TrustyTime so I can't have a rough idea.

no one will pay you anything for your word on the movement, unfortunately. If you were going to try & sell it here, everyone would require proof of a swiss movement before paying you anything.

*something is only worth what someone will pay for it

-Take the caseback off with a wad of duct tape, rolex casebacks usually screw right off!

If there really is a Swiss Valjoux 7753 then atleast $600 because that movement sells for atleast that amount... mostly for more. But no one on here will buy it unless you show pics of the movement and actually tag the pic

Thanks. That's all I needed to know. If I decide to sell it I will follow the advice and open it with duct tape. By the way, how do you guys take those detailed pictures? What camera are you guys using?

any decent mid range digital camera, outdoor on a overcast day is good lightling, set the camera for close-up, usually symbolized by the flower icon then, without moving the camera AT ALL take shots of it.

Take three: each one you move the rotor. Make sure we can see the area under the balance wheel....
that big gear wheel ....like a ferris wheel
