Ropers are nice for day to day when you don't want much of a heel, lucchese are nice however I've never owned a pair. I prefer ropers over what I refer to as the traditional cowboy boot. Ropers have a wider heel, lower heel, and tend to have a wider profile. I am a big fan for Lucchese for ostrich, elephant, and other skins. Jusitn and Ariat make a great boot for the price. Tecovas seem to be generating a lot of buzz.

Luchhese ostrich are sought after in Texas. I wear mine with my suits.
