    Default Hello from California

Hey everyone. I'm somewhat new to the rep game, I've had a few over the years but nothing worth while. I have a new order on the way (deep sea dweller, noob) and I'm pretty excited about it. Just trying to learn all I can and see what j can pick up and start a collection. Mostly just have some gshocks and invictas at the moment. Anyways thanks for having a great amount of info so far!

Are you a fan of roper boots or cowboy boots?

Ropers are nice for day to day when you don't want much of a heel, lucchese are nice however I've never owned a pair. My favorite work/daily type are ariats, mostly ride in Justin's or ariats, I ride saddle bronc and I'm trying out some boulets that are doing pretty well, and my nicer/dress up pair at the moment are a pair of the calf skin tecovas which are super comfortable with the regular heel. I want to pick up some of the ostrich or lizard skins from tecovas as well, they make nice quality boots.

I prefer ropers over what I refer to as the traditional cowboy boot. Ropers have a wider heel, lower heel, and tend to have a wider profile. I am a big fan for Lucchese for ostrich, elephant, and other skins. Jusitn and Ariat make a great boot for the price. Tecovas seem to be generating a lot of buzz.

Luchhese ostrich are sought after in Texas. I wear mine with my suits.

Luchhese has always made nice exotics, Justin's use to be much better quality however for the price of them they last 6 months and away they go. I usually get a year or so out or ariats. You should definetly check out the tecovas they're real nice! Texas is awesome I rode some broncs out there last year in new caney and Houston. You guys are lucky cavanders is a great store for boots. All we have out here is boot barn which isn't as good.
