I have some buddies that are a little more sensible Yankee fans, and growing up a Phillies fan I was actually a fan of quite a few Yankees back in the 80's in my youth (Nettles, Winfield, Gossage, Randolph). Over the past few years I've gone from being ambivalent to them to rooting against them whenever possible. 04' was a sweet year.

Cliff won't be going anywhere next year though. I don't think the Phils will have any problem popping for the $9mil option they have on him, especially since Hamils forgot how to pitch. If he comes around and maybe Drabek can produce in the majors, they might be a little more solid next year. Well only if Lidge joins Hamils at the shrink to talk about finding that killer instinct the lost this year. Maybe Rivera knows voodoo or has a secret pact with the devil and just keeps sucking the mojo from star pitchers. He'll have a mysterious death the year after he retires from baseball.

Hey. I'm with you, the Phillies have been very difficult to watch lately.
Keep your head up. If any TEAM out there can win 3 more games. It's our FIGHTin PHILS!!! Come on. Don't give up on them. The damn Yanks do have alot good hitters on their squad, but our PHILS have just not been hitting their pitchers. Gotta love the " You did Steroids chants " to Pettite & Arod. Well... Let's go EAGLES!!!
